Sorted Branding is a branding and packaging design studio based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. We decide why and how the personal information described in this policy is used, which makes us the “Data Fiduciary” under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

This policy covers personal information we collect through this website and through the ways you can reach us from it: our contact form, call booking, email and WhatsApp. It also covers information we receive when you apply for a role with us or when we work together on a project.

We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011. Visitors and clients from outside India are covered by the same practices described in this policy.

Information you give us

• Contact form: your name, email address and phone number, and, if you choose to share them, your company name, budget range, the services you are interested in and your message.
• Call booking: our “Book a call” buttons open a scheduling page run by Calendly. The details you enter there, such as your name, email address and any answers you give, are shared with us so we can prepare for the call.
• Email: anything you send us by email, including attachments.
• WhatsApp: our WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp with a message ready for you to send. If you send it, we receive your WhatsApp name, your phone number and the messages you choose to send.
• Job applications: when you apply by email to careers@sortedbranding.com, we receive your CV, portfolio and any other details you include.
• Project work: when we work together, we receive the contact details of your team and the business information, files and feedback you share for the project.

Information collected automatically

This website does not use analytics tools, advertising pixels or tracking cookies.

Like most websites, the servers that deliver it may automatically record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the date and time. This is used only to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix problems.

Some images and videos on this website are delivered by our content management provider, so your browser connects to its servers to load them. Those servers receive the same kind of technical information.

Information we do not ask for

We do not ask for sensitive personal information, such as passwords, bank or card details, health information or biometric data, through this website. Please do not send it to us through the contact form or WhatsApp.

We use your information to:

• reply to your enquiry and talk to you about your project;
• prepare proposals, quotes and agreements;
• schedule and hold calls and meetings;
• deliver our services, share work and feedback, and send invoices during a project;
• review job applications and contact candidates;
• keep the website working, secure and protected from spam and misuse;
• improve our website and services;
• meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We only contact you in ways you would reasonably expect after getting in touch with us, and you can ask us to stop at any time. We do not make automated decisions about you.

When you fill in our contact form, book a call, send us an email or WhatsApp message, or apply for a job, you share your information with us by choice and agree to us using it for the purposes in this policy. We use it only for those purposes.

When we work together under an agreement, we use your information to carry out that agreement. We may also use or share information where the law allows or requires it, for example to comply with tax laws, a court order or a request from a government authority.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing hello@sortedbranding.com. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue a conversation or project that depends on that information.

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:

• TeleCRM, our customer relationship management (CRM) system. Contact form enquiries are sent to TeleCRM so our team can follow up.
• Calendly, the scheduling service you use when you book a call with us.
• WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to contact us on WhatsApp.
• Hostinger, our website hosting provider.
• Sanity, our content management system, which stores and delivers the website's text, images and videos. Contact form submissions are not stored in it.
• Our email service provider, which carries the emails we send and receive.

These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or with a new owner if our business is reorganised or transferred, who will have to protect it in the same way.

This website does not use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking, and it does not use third-party tracking pixels.

The only thing the website saves in your browser is the position of the WhatsApp button if you drag it somewhere else on the screen, so it stays where you put it. This is saved in your browser's local storage, contains no personal information and never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Services we link to, such as Calendly, WhatsApp and our social media pages, may use their own cookies when you visit them. Their cookie policies apply.

If we add analytics or other cookies in the future, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as the law requires.

• Enquiries that do not turn into a project are kept only as long as reasonably needed to follow up, and are then deleted.
• Client and project records, including invoices, are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require.
• Job applications are kept while we review applications for the role. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

We take reasonable security measures to protect your information, including:

• encrypted connections (HTTPS) for this website and the contact form;
• access to our CRM, email and other systems only for team members who need it, through password-protected accounts;
• hiding most of your phone number in our website's technical logs;
• a hidden spam check on the contact form that stops automated spam without collecting any extra information about you.

No way of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

Under Indian data protection law, you have the right to:

• get a summary of the personal information we hold about you, how we use it and who we have shared it with;
• correct, complete or update your information;
• ask us to delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it;
• withdraw your consent at any time;
• have your complaints about our handling of your information addressed;
• nominate another person to use these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.

To use any of these rights, email hello@sortedbranding.com from the email address you used with us, or tell us how we can confirm it is you. There is no charge for this.

If you have a concern or complaint about how we handle your personal information, please contact our Grievance Officer:

We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days of receiving it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

This website and our services are meant for businesses and adults, not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please contact us and we will delete it.

We are based in India, but some of our service providers may store or process information on servers outside India. When this happens, we take reasonable steps to keep your information protected in line with this policy, and we only transfer it where Indian law allows.

This website links to other websites and services, including Calendly, WhatsApp and our pages on Instagram, LinkedIn, Behance, X, Facebook, Dribbble and YouTube. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their privacy policies when you use them.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we change how the website works or when the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make important changes, we will make that clear on this page.
